FAQ's

A series of sessions designed to help you lead an authentic and examined life. It is about ending brokenness and healing hearts. Individuals who attend can expect to see emotional and relational healing that will further their own discipleship journey.

Any adult ready to rise above their hurts and their past to embrace the purposes for which God created them. It is for anyone feeling stuck or trapped, for those tired of merely “getting by” in life. Freedom Session is for those with the courage to truly live free.

Men and women in every walk of life, every economic level and virtually every area of woundedness. It is for those with little to no church experience and for those who’ve attended church their entire life.

Freedom Session is a long and challenging process. Once seats are confirmed and groups are formed, we are unable to add in new participants. We hope that you think through the commitment and, if offered a seat, commit to seeing it through to completion.

We can accommodate occasional misses and have a way for you to view teaching and recap the group discussion. The best scenario is that you communicate your away dates in advance and do the personal work needed to stay caught up with your group.

The Freedom Session journey asks you to face and deal with painful events in your life. If you’ve been diagnosed with mental illness or suspect you have a mental illness, please ask your psychologist, psychiatrist, counsellor, or pastor if they feel Freedom Session is appropriate for you. You can also apply and request to speak with Hope City’s Discipleship Pastor for help with this type of assessment.

Freedom Session Leadership Team

With each Freedom Session cycle, we need emotionally and spiritually mature Hope City Church members willing to serve on our leadership team. Our leadership roles include coaches, facilitators and hosts. All facilitators are responsible for working through the Freedom Session program alongside participants and are supported through ongoing monthly training and detailed weekly briefings.
