A church's mission describes why it exists. A church's vision statement explains where they are going. A church's values determine how they will get to where they are going. The following seven values describe how we are choosing to do ministry and reach our vision of reaching 1% of Edmonton.
Our Values
PASSIONATE
We're passionate about our relationship with Christ, what he is doing in our lives and in the lives of the people in our church and our city. (Romans 12:11)
TRY HARD
We value excellence and do our best to make it look like we tried. We believe God uses our hard work to make a difference. (Colossians 3:23)
LEAN IN
We do whatever it takes to accomplish our vision and goals, even if it falls outside our job description. (Colossians 3:23)
UNITY We choose a culture of peace by getting along, showing respect and presuming the best of each other. We stand up for each other, and we don't throw each other under the bus. (Psalm 133)
PEOPLE FIRST
We choose to love first and lead second, but we always do both. People are the reason we are here. We're about developing people into amazing followers of Christ. (Philippians 2:3)
TALK AND TELL
We seize every opportunity to talk and tell others about Christ and what He's done in our lives. (Acts 4:20)
FUTURE-ORIENTED
We know we can't stay here and actively pursue God's next for ourselves and for our church. (Philippians 3:12-14)
